the nervous joy i got from mailing off my entry form 

to my very first 5K run! i've never ran in an "event" before,

it's rather exciting.

the look of joy on my little dog's face when i 

took her to the beach yesterday. i was kicking myself for 

not  having my camera on me. maybe this weekend...

to all those drivers on the road who think they have a starring role in the next fast & furious movie. please, go home, i think you may have left your brain there this morning. keep driving like that and the only movie you'll end up in is RED ASPHALT, and i'd rather you not. slow down turbos.

pitchforks to the rude lady at the coffee shop who was having a bad morning and decided to "claim" the table i was leaning on while waiting for my drink. ummmmmm "EXCUSE ME, IM SITTING HERE!!" isn't an appropriate response to someone as you walk into a coffee shop and plop yourself onto the first available table.

a PLEASE would have been nice miz crabby pants.

little tidbits i'm loving today...

1} soreness from yesterday's workout

my legs hurt so good! -- darn those lunges

2} my new, and super awesome adidas watch!

i've been wanting a white digital watch for some time.

this one's perfect. i love this little baby!

3} a girls night turned dance party... laughter for hours!

if you have a Wii, go get the game just dance -- so fun!

4} my new cream colored ballet flats!

$12 and they're comfy - love when that happens!

5} oh, and this video...

{i still haven't figured the whole video on a blog thing. 

someone please save me -- hahaha}

i seriously have watched this like 10 times...

it's amazing. like UH-MAZING...

just beautiful.

little tidbit #21...

pulling shredded cheese out of the fridge,

discovering the package was open,

causing cheese to spill all over the floor.

and before i could put the half-empty cheese bag on the counter

the-vacuum-named-Olive was there to the rescue,

nibbling away... taking care of the cheesy mess.

if she could talk, i would imagine she would have said:

" is that cheese on the floor? don't worry mom, i got this."

thanks Olive. you're a champ.

little tidbit #20...

back when i had my old car before it went to VW heaven,
i had a sticker on my car. you know, one of those silly
stickers that makes you feel like its your car's signature,
makes it girly, or manly, or expresses your personality in some way.
for some reason i loved that sticker.
and when i went to empty my poor car out
before they hauled it away to the junk yard,
i saw the sticker, and got really sad that
it was going to the junkyard too.

well today, someone - who notices the little things i say,
walked by the store where i got that old sticker,
and bought the exact same one for my new car.

he gave it to me today.

 i know it's just a silly little sticker,
but the thought meant so much to me.
it's like a little piece of my old car is back.
{smiles}

monday just got a whole lot better.

i also am loving the return of the rain...

even though it put a kibosh on my lunchtime run today,

oh darn!! {insert sarcasm}

so i though i'd start this friday off right with 

some more little tidbits from this week, 

since it's been a while since the last little tidbit:

not having to wash my car cuz the rain is doing it for me

little tidbit #15:

when random men are gentlemen.

this week 4 unknown men open doors for me, 

said good morning, and said "ladies first" 

just for the sake of being nice, not because it was their job...

you just don't get that very often from strangers.

it was refreshing.

little tidbit #16:

the mango chipotle sauce i got at world market

you make grilled chicken sing!!

little tidbit #17:

waking up before my alarm clock goes off,

and having time to make breakfast and get coffee.

does anyone else find the sound of an alarm clock unbearable?

having no plans for sunday but to watch the

superbowl!!!
