In Other News . . .

I just discovered not too long ago that one of my absolute favorite artists, Mr. Gregory Alan Isakov, is performing right here in my very own town... just a mere 5 minute drive from my apartment. 

are you kidding me?!?!

Never heard his beautiful music that makes you want to have a midnight picnic with wine and a blanket staring at the stars? Hmmmmmmm perhaps you should check him out... and fall in love, just like me. 

He is beautiful isn't he? His music is even more so...

June 12th couldn't come soon enough.

wonderful weekend: part one...

finally getting through the abundance of photos i took over the weekend... looking at them already makes me want to re-live that little adventure... my man is such a good surpriser, here's a little part of what he had planned for us that weekend:

day one {saturday}: 

wine tasting through malibu canyon

first stop, cornell tasting room

the best wine and the most beautiful 

tasting room i've ever seen

{cute little tavern restaurant next door}

next stop, lunch in malibu at rosenthal

it was a pretty awesome day... i was blown away at the thought he put into this trip, and how much fun we had just driving together and enjoying the scenery... {happy sigh}

and this was just saturday.

it's tuesday and my mind is still on vacation...

how awesome was the three day weekend?

i'm still adjusting to the fact that it's tuesday.

well, let me tell you, i had a fantastic weekend!!

and i know you're all wondering what the heck 

my mister had in store for me this weekend,

but i'm still editing the photos, and didn't think it would 

be fair to tell you without being able to SHOW you.

so tomorrow i will post about my lovely surprise

valentines-and-presidents-day mini vacation

oh, and the mister asked if i was afraid of heights to throw me off the trail of what the surprise was. there were no heights to speak of... apparently i am a pretty good guesser, so he needed a diversion... thus, the heights question.

 i don't know what i'm doing yet.

i know there is something planned, 

but my valentine won't tell me.

it's a surprise.

all i know is {from the hints he gave me}...

i was told to get a dogsitter for saturday and sunday,

i will need comfortable shoes for lots of walking,

a bathing suit is involved {i'm thinking hotel}

oh, and he asked if i was afraid of heights...

huh??

afraid of heights... what the heck could that mean?

i'm stumped, but i'm pretty darn excited to find out.

ideas anyone??

sunday is my valentine-giving day...

dinner at a wonderful restaurant on the ventura pier,

followed by a movie... wolfman.

yep, that's how we roll... scary movies on valentines day.

that's my gift to him. he's pretty stoked.

haha.
